About Us
Hi! We’re Macy and Libby Meldrum — sisters, WVSS alumni, and fans of everything volleyball. We grew up around the West Vancouver Basketball Club, founded by our dad, Greg, in 2009. His vision was simple: create a fun, safe, and positive environment where young athletes could build confidence through the sport of basketball. Over the years, the WVBC has become a trusted name for players looking to develop their basketball skills on the North Shore.
We’ve been assistant coaches at the WVBC for years, but our true passion has always been volleyball (shh… don’t tell our dad!). That’s why we decided it was time to expand the family business and launch something of our own: West Van Volley.

Welcome beginners and help them have a positive first experience with the sport. Volleyball can seem intimidating at first, but it’s just a super awesome version of “keep the balloon off the floor” - fast-paced, team-focused, and a whole lot of fun.

Give athletes meaningful reps and touches. We know how important it is to stay sharp during the summer, and we’re excited to help players of all ages prepare for the demands of the school season in September.

Help grow the sport of volleyball in West Vancouver by offering accessible, local programming held at WVSS - the same gym where we fell in love with the game ourselves!

Develop well-rounded athletes - not just volleyball players! We were multi-sport athletes growing up, and we are strong believers in cross-training. That’s why we’ve intentionally designed our summer schedule so that players can attend both WVBC basketball camps and West Van Volley. Skills like footwork, hand-eye coordination, explosiveness, and communication are developed across sports, and volleyball is a great way to build those fundamentals while having a blast.
Between us, we cover a lot of ground! We have a unique combination of volleyball and teaching experience. As a USPORT student-athlete, Libby knows firsthand what it takes to compete at the highest level of the game. As an education assistant and teacher candidate, Macy has logged hundreds of hours working with children and youth, creating inclusive, supportive spaces where kids can thrive.
In partnership with the WVBC, we’re thrilled to introduce West Van Volley as a new chapter in our family’s mission to support young athletes in our community!
